Stereo Photography RIGHT NOW! The illustration shows you what's in the box. In
the manila envelope at top left is a Sample Kit. This is the introductory
information we send to people interested in Stereo Photography using Q-VUs. Some
of the contents are scattered randomly around the picture, including samples of
Q-VU foldover stereo mounts, a back issue of the Q-VU Gazette, How-To folder,
instructions, etc. At the left of the picture is a Feng Ching Holmes-format
stereoscope. It's a cheap Chinese import, but it does the job to get you going.
At the center are a roll of film, and batteries for the Loreo/Discovery camera,
illustrated at the bottom right with its carrying case. Fanned out above the
camera is a set of reproduction period stereoviews for you to view in your new
stereoscope.
Stereoscopes (Picture B) Vintage stereoscopes sell from $35/$40 to $75/$100
and more on e-Bay. When we run out of the Feng Ching stereoscope from China, we

cameras in our Beginner's Kit. The upcharge from out standard Beginner's Kit
pricing will vary depending on the model and condition of the camera you choose

Picture D HERE ARE OUR THREE STYLES OF Q-VUs Picture shows a view of Window
Rock on the Navajo Nation in Arizona mounted in a Q-VU mount in a custom Holmes
Format stereoscope. Three open Q-VU mounts are also shown. At left is the Azure
Blue Modern mount. Its opening is designed to maximize picture area. At right is
a Grey Antique mount. Note that the opening is rounded at the top and
reminiscent of the old Underwood & Underwood and Keystone stereo view cards.
In the center is a Royal Blue "X" mount. The "X" mount is
used by stereo photographers wanting a narrower opening for portraits or
close-ups. It is also used to do an "instant" mount job on Loreo or
Discovery camera prints, or Vivitar 3-D camera prints. (When using the Vivitar
camera, the prints from the one-hour processor will have to be cut in the middle
and transposed.)
